So i just got married and my husband & i are moving to our new house this friday. i want to cook our first home cooked meal but i dont know what to make! i’m looking for something easy but very good!

Waffles: 1 3/4 c Flour 1 T Baking Powder 1/4 t Salt 2 Egg Yolks 1 3/4 c Milk 1/2 c Cooking Oil 2 Egg Whites Mix first 3 ingredients in bowl, set aside. Mix next 3 ingredients in bowl. Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened (should be lumpy) Beat egg whites in separate bowl until stiff peaks are formed. Gently fold egg whites into mixture. Leave some egg white fluffs (do not over mix). Pour into waffle iron and enjoy! This is our favorite recipe for waffles and it comes from my Better Homes and Gardens “New Cook Book” from 2000. His birthday is coming up, and he is really missing having a good, home cooked Filipino meal. I’ve tried to casually bring it up in conversation, by asking what his favorite dish is, and he never gives a straight answer. He just says "I like them all". Lol.

So, I was wondering if there were any opinions on what I should make him? What is a really popular dish over there?
Something other then Tapsilog, because he makes me that all the time anyway.

Ok here’s the deal. I have a house full of college-aged guys (5 of them) that I am pretty good friends with, and have romantic interest in one of them. We will all be in the same town for college this fall, and I promised them I was going to come and cook for them every so often. Everyone knows the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach

But I’m not a super fantastic cook or anything. I am good at cooking, I just don’t do it enough to know a bunch of tips and tricks and good recipes. So what are some good recipes/meals to cook that are homemade and somewhat complex (more than just noodles and a jar of store-bought spaghetti sauce) that would feed 5 hungry boys (meaning boys I need your opinions of meals you would love to have cooked for you!) and be relatively fool-proof??
